Reiff and Stac Pollaidh

Three club members - Richard, Simo and me Jules headed up to the far north western area of Coigach for a couple of days of climbing, walking and jumping off rocks into the sea.
We drove up Friday lunchtime and camped at Altandhu near to a very nice pub. The weather was wet and windy so we took refuge in a partly completed utility building.
On Saturday the three of us went to Garvie Bay on the north side of the peninsula and clad in wet suits (except Simo who didn't have his) swam in the morning then went climbing in Reiff in the afternoon. I lead a route then Richard did one - but can't remember their names. I think my route was a VS.
Amid showers and sunshine we headed back to our campsite where we met three Dutch girls who were cycling around the Highlands and were very entertaining, especially after a couple of beers in the local pub.
On Sunday we all did the mighty Stac Pollaidh although didn't do all of the ridge as the weather closed in with claggy cloud at the top.
We said a fond fairwell the the Dutch girls, before setting off for Glasgow around 2pm with the sun poking out from the clouds from time to time.
It was a great weekend made even better by the banter and great company. Cheers for cooking a lovely chicken stew Richard on the Saturday night . . . it was delicious.
